TANZANIA MOBILE CAMPING SAFARI

Overview

Africa has become known as one of the most photographically rich destinations in the world. With stunning landscapes, cultural immersions and savannahs teaming with game, one might describe Africa as a photographer's paradise! Look no further than Tanzania for a photographic destination of a lifetime.....

On a photographic safari, you are accompanied by a professional photographer who provides guidance on how to get the best shots in the field. However, the number 1 challenge in wildlife photography has nothing to do with photography....it is finding the animals!

The pace of this safari is slower as you are looking for quality game viewing and photo opportunities instead of a large quantity of game. As explained in the National Geographic article below, the author/photographer chose to follow a mother cheetah and her cub for 4-5 days getting to know their habits and taking hundreds of shots. As a result of his patience, he had some wonderful results.

Your guide knows where the animals are best found in the park and will help you sight them. Keep in mind that national parks are not zoos; they are huge tracts of wilderness where the animals roam freely. In addition, some animals, like leopards are notoriously elusive and difficult to find.

The best time to take photos is in the early morning and the late afternoon; this is when the natural light is best for taking photos, and when the animals are most active. This is also the time of day when most game drives take place. In the evening, the group seats together reviewing their shots from the day with your photographer guide, exchanging tips and ides, planning for the next day.
