The Tanzania Budget Safari to Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater allows you to discover two the most popular destinations in the North of Tanzania just in three days with camping accommodation and meals included. This budget safari includes as well airport pick-up and transfer to your hotel in Arusha (booked by yourself), so after relaxing in the hotel after a long flight you are picked up for the safari at the morning next day. This diverse game park is home to a large variety of wildlife and is considered one of the most beautiful wilderness areas in northern Tanzania. Tarangire Park hosts one of the largest elephant populations in Tanzania and is dotted with baobab and acacia thorn trees. This top Tanzanian game park is also home to various big cats including lions, leopards and cheetahs, as well as tree climbing pythons. Other wildlife inhabiting the game park include many giraffes, buffalos, zebras and various antelope species such as gazelles.

Safari Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Arusha

Arrive at Arusha and after that you will stay overnight at Pamoja Expedition Lodge.

Day 2 Arusha to Tarangire

Drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park for game drive, Tarangire is the sixth largest national park covers an area of approximately 2,850 square kilometres. Tarangire is famous for its huge number of elephants, baobab trees and tree climbing African pythons. Stay overnight at Kigongoni campsite.

Day 3 Tarangire to Serengeti

Morning drive to the Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge of grassland plains and savanna as well as river trine forest and woodlands. The park lies in the north of the country, bordered to the north by the national Tanzania and Kenyan border, where it is continuous with the Masai Mara National Park reserve. Stay overnight at Seronera Campsite Camp.

Day 4 Serengeti National Park

Full day game driving in the Serengeti plains, the endless, almost treeless grassland of the south is the most emblematic scenery of the park. . Other hoofed animals – zebra, gazelle, impala, hartebeest, topi, buffalo, and waterbuck – also occur in huge numbers thru out the year. Stay the second night at Ikoma Bush Campsite

Day 5 Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Morning game drive from Serengeti, then drive to the south-east of the park to Ngorongoro Conservation Are. The crater is one of the most amazing sights of the world to be seen anywhere. Stay overnight at Simba Campsite with fascinating view of the sunken volcano.

Day 6 Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for crater tour. This is world heritage site, the incomparable Ngorongoro crater is the world’s largest “caldera”. Dominated by cliffs standing some 600 meters high and presenting a sheer drop down to a wide open space of some 246 square km, and you may see everything from elephant to lion, and if you’re lucky, the near-extinct black rhino, all amongst large herds of zebra and wildebeest. Afternoon exit the crater and drive to Jambo Campsite for overnight – Just outside Lake Manyara National Park.

Day 7 Lake Mayara to Arusha

After a leisure breakfast drive to Lake Manyara national park for game drive, Lake Manyara is a shallow freshwater lake in Tanzania. It is said to be the “loveliest [lake] … in Africa,” Lake Manyara is covering 127 square miles (329 km2) of Lake Manyara National Park, the lake’s alkaline waters cover approximately 89 square miles (231 km2). It is famous for a good number of baboons and bird life. Afternoon drive back to Arusha – stay overnight at Pamoja Expedition Lodge.
